The tour was great, what a wonderful experience wow. - Hezen
Great guide. Very interesting tour. I learned a lot. - Carola
I was happy with the tour. May be the video at the start could explain a bit more the recent underground mining underneath the bottom of the old mining. - Norbert
Although I have lived in Pretoria and Cullinan district for more than 60 years, and having visited Cullinan village on various occasions, it was the first time I took a tour of the mine. We had family visiting from the Netherlands, and I wanted to show them a little bit more about the SA mining industry. Especially since the world's biggest diamond was found here. I was very pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. We were greeted in Afrikaans, which immediately made the Dutch feel more "at home". Our tour guide Sharon was absolutely great and very informative. She could answer all our questions and even give more information. The mine premises is neat and safe. It is also great to see how Petra has improved and expanded the mine over the past decade or so. Unfortunately the village does not have much else to offer during the week, as most of the restaurants and shops are closed. I would also recommend that the Reception upgrade their toilet facilities - it is rather run-down with a dirty towel. Overall however we enjoyed our trip, and I will definitely recommend anyone interested in our diamond mining industry, to visit the mine. Maybe rather over a weekend. - Francien
it was a great experience. Our visitor from Canada really enjoyed the excursion, and she was able to see short video in French on the diamond industry in Africa. - Hannelise
